Computer Repair You probably don't need an explanation of how much a nuisance a computer glitch or complete system crash can cause. Less noticeable issues cause unnecessary lag in every day operations. |

Icon "Hardware" components are the mechanical parts of a computer. They include the Processor, Motherboard, RAM (Random Access Memory), Power Supply, Hard Drive, CD-ROM and additional cards such as a Network Card, Modem, Sound Card, etc. Hardware is susceptible to mechanical failure. There are moving parts, motors, electrical components (capacitors, resistors, transistors, etc.) and countless possible points of failure. These failures require experience and knowledge to properly troubleshoot and repair.RAM (Memory) Upgrades A computer's memory restricts how much data it can process at one time. We can help you optimize your systems and upgrade RAM with minimal cost. Other hardware upgrades Sometimes it's more cost effective to upgrade parts of your computer than it is to trade it in for the newer model. Perhaps you need a module that didn't come in the computer from the distributor. We'll help you decide what is most cost effective for the long term and implement the plan. Computer Cleaning Many hardware components generate a lot of heat. For example. the power supply and processor can get very hot. With a thick insulating layer of dust, these parts are in danger of literally burning up. We'll also secure all internal and external cables and ascertain they're in good working condition. Troubleshooting hardware problems If a problem is hardware based, it can sometimes be difficult to know exactly which part is causing it. Sometimes it's a compound problem. We will find the most cost effective way of bringing the system back on line. Cable Management We take pride in a neat and tidy work environment. Sorting, managing and bundling your cables in a way that is aesthetically pleasing can make your work environment more positive and efficient. |
Software is the virtual side of a computer. The Windows operating system, hardware drivers, and Microsoft Office are all examples of software. Problematic software such as Adware or Viruses can cause staggering performance degradation (See Network Security). Legitimate, necessary software should be kept up to date and properly tuned. Adware / Viruses Adware and viruses can cause data loss, performance degradation, or even send information from your network back to a malicious hacker who is fishing for anything from a business' client information to company account numbers. We will remove these unwanted bits of software or (if it is more cost effective) backup your data and reconfigure the system for a fresh start. Performance tweaking There are a number of settings that can be fine tuned and several systems applications that should be executed to keep your system in top condition. Updates and Patches We'll keep your computer's software up to date with the latest updates and patches. Backups Some workstations may need to be backed up regularly to avoid crippling data loss. Special care should be given to critical data that is not part of a network backup or another type of virtual redundancy. Operating Sys. upgrades/Reinstallations If you need a computer reformatted to start fresh, or need to migrate data from an older operating system to get it into the current standard, we can help. Troubleshooting Software Problems Software problems are often much more complex than that of hardware. Sometimes it's a compatibility issue, sometimes a bug from the program creators. Whatever the source, we'll find it and take the steps to get everything to work the way you expect it to. |
